Clip Studio Paint now supports drawings made with ibisPaint, the standard drawing application for smartphones and tablets.
Works drawn in ibisPaint (smartphone/iPad) can not be exported and then imported into Clip Studio Paint (smartphone/iPad/PC) while retaining your layer organization.
This means you can now use your smartphone to draw a rough sketch of your work on the go and then import it to another device at home for finishing touches... and more!
In this article we will explain how to open drawings made with ibisPaint in Clip Studio Paint.
Note: Please update Clip Studio Paint to the latest version to use this feature.
To import ibisPaint drawings into a computer, you must first upload from ibisPaint to the CLIP STUDIO cloud service. A free CLIP STUDIO account is necessary to use the cloud service.
Open ibisPaint on your smartphone and from [My Gallery], tap and select ①your drawing.
Tap the ① [Share] button , and when the file type dialog box appears, tap ②[CLIP STUDIO (CLIP)].
Tap [Sign in] on the Clip Studio login screen.
If you do not already have a Clip Studio account, tap [Sign up] and follow the on-screen instructions to register for free.
Enter the ①[E-mail address] and ②[Password] registered to your Clip Studio account, and then tap ③[Sign in].
When uploading to the cloud service from ibisPaint for the first time, an access authorization screen will show. Tap [Authorize] to go to the next screen.
This screen only appears on your first login. On subsequent logins, this screen will not show and will proceed to the next screen.
The upload will begin. When the "Uploading..." message at the bottom of the screen disappears, your work has finished uploading.
After the upload is complete, access the Clip Studio cloud service from the device where Clip Studio Paint is installed and open the work in Clip Studio Paint.
