The “Expand/Contract Selection Area” is very useful when you cut out photos or illustrations. Sometimes, fringes (background color on the edges of cut-out images) may remain when cutting an image out of its background. These fringes can be removed by slightly expanding or contracting the cut-out image.
Open the ①Tool Select window and select ②Magic Wand.
Use one finger to tap on the ①part you want to delete from the image.
Open the ①Selection Area window and select ②Expand/Contract Selection Area.
Adjust the ①Expand by slider and tap on the ②✓ to expand the cut-out.
Open the ①Selection Area window. Tap on ②Cut to remove the image part that you don’t need.
Tap on ①Remove Selection Area to clear the selection area.
